HERES OUR STEP BY STEP GUIDE

  • RESEARCH
    • Create a list – Look online for local builders, check their reviews & customer feedback.
    • Find out where their Display homes are and what are their opening hours.
    • Speak to friends, family, colleagues who have recently built a new home about their experiences.
  • GO FOR A WALK
    • Visit the Display homes – Walk through the homes & get a feel for them. Will the layout work for you, or what changes would you make?
    • Check on build quality
    • Have a chat – Speak to the on-site Consultants & ask questions.
    • Gather information – Display homes are packed with information, plans & details. Take a copy to help with your decision.
  • HAVE A COFFEE
    • Once you’ve gathered the information sit down & discuss with your partner/ parents/ friends. Discuss what you need from your new home & what aspects of the home are important to you.
    • Draw up a shortlist – once you’ve compared the plans, pick your top 3 and go back to the builders and speak to them again.
  • ASK QUESTIONS
    • Timeframe – If you are currently renting & need your new home to be completed by a set date, let the builder know. They will be able to tell you if they can meet that deadline.
    • Specifications – ask which items are included in their standard Specifications & what is an upgraded item.
  • GET A QUOTE
    • Once you are comfortable with the Consultant & their product ask for a quote
    • We recommend you don’t ask for more than 3 quotes as it may become overwhelming & confusing.
    • Make sure the quotes are comparable, i.e. your comparing apples with apples.

If you are torn between two builders go with the one you feel most comfortable with.
